YAY!! We now have a wiki dedicated to DB and its community

http://www.dbspot.com/j2dstudios/site/modules/wiwimod/index.php?page=WiwiHome

you need to sign up, but that's only to aide in stopping abuse. And it's a hassle free signup process anyway At least read the page before you throw your hands up^_^

yay! I also added a where are you from section please utilize it!

I should probably explain in greater detail what this is..

It's a graphical map with little people that you drag and drop, type in your username and some other info that you want to put and you're done! If you hover over a little person it gives their information.

[you don't even have to register for that section]

Hey, J2D, I put a little guy on your map. But I put my e-mail address wrong, can you fix?

sigh....yes

lol...poor admin controls..have to go into the database itself to fix any problems...

not really difficult

I will put the email address you have in your profile here...unless it's an obvious mistake in which case I'll just remove the problem.. Should be fixed by the time you read this

Hmm...i reinstalled it in the mean time.. I will try to beef up this module so it doesnt do things like that:S In the mean time, try to input again and tell me if it broke for you and what you had input...

It seemed to have been running fine on the demo site where I got it from, so perhaps it was just a fluke *crosses fingers*

Can I suggest that you allow people to read without signup?

Some people will move on rather than give out their email address.

Use CoWiki and you won't have to keep re-installing it

Personally I've never really understood the benefit of a wiki and find them more labourious than useful. But who knows, it might work out...

People can read without signing up to the wiki. And to sign up you don't need to use a valid email address. No email confirmation is required.

With the 'Where are you located?' you don't need to be registered at all.

So play around with it! ^_^

I did a little while ago ... it didn't update

I didn't catch the error message, because it redirected me back to the wiki

I just checked the wiki, everything seems to be functioning fine..

Try creating a test page and see if you have any problems again, if you do try to see the problem and maybe I can fix it.

[edit] oh and rich, it was the 'where are you from' segment of the site that malfunctioned earlier.. Haven't had any problems since..

Oh, and if you want to see a very functional and popular wiki dealing with another programming language.. check out http://bwicki.byond.com/ and you can see that a wiki is a very handy and fun thing for the community.
