I have the mx440 and I found mx4000. Is it worth to change?

Yeah, it's probably about twice the spec if not more.

Am I right in thinking the MX* boards don't have the FX capabilities?

You want to swap the card you have, for a newer edition of the card you have? At the cost of your motherboard for a hyper-expensive PCI-X one?
Logic seems a little wrong there.

If your going to update then get a card that is actually an update

Well, I have another PC with an empty AGP slot and no 3D card. That's why I was considering. But I did a test and didn't like it. This card is slower than my current MX440 so I didn't buy it.

You know the MX4000 is the PCI-X version of the MX440 right?
