I think a game with roleplaying elements (like EverQuest, NWN, etc...) where you can fight with monsters and other players "Soul Caliber" style would be very fun indeed. Any thoughts on this?

The more I know, the less I understand.

You'll have a long way to go before you can do that.
Start with pong and work up to pacman or breakout.

LOL, oh I know I have a long way to go before ~I~ could make anything like that...but in the meantime, I'd sure love to play a game like that....

Soul Calibur II, but you porbably knew that but if you have Xbox Sudeki is a new RPG that has combat less like the final fantasy and more like like Soul Calibur, you can even to combos with your swords and stuff.

What you're describing sounds a lot like the Zelda series and Kingdom Hearts, both of which are very fun indeed.

If you're planning on making a game like that, I suggest you rent or buy (preferably buy) both of them and see how they feel and how to improve on them.
