Return of the Jedi was originally called Revenge of the Jedi - maybe they will change this name last minute too.

No. Revenge of the Jedi was renamed when Lucas suddenly realised that the Jedi weren't supposed to indulge in revenge. However, revenge sounds precisely the sort of thing the Sith get up to on a cold wet sunday morning in a clammy Welsh town.

aparently a tonne of SW Nerds cheered when it was announced...
anyone see that video of when the GF 6800 was being unvieled and the guy was going down the features and a tonne of people were like
"WOOO! YEAH THAT ROCKS!"

and the guy was like "Erm, oki..." he honestly though the audience was crazy.

I'm sorry, but I felt that the other two were completely lacking. This one might be interesting though, because if it stays in sink with the series, this one is going to be a supreme loss for the Jedi.

Why? The Jedi never lose. If you strike them down they just rise more powerful than you can ever possibly imagine.

Plus, they can then manifest themselves as blue glowing ghostly characters which is way way cooler than old guys with beards.

When are they going to start making them after the original ones? I think the ones before them are kinda, well, not as interesting, they've already explained what happened in the beginning, now on with the story.

Lucas isn't going to do anymore after III - he was going to, but decided against it.

He should remake the first three. Just for a new generation who hate the effects of the old movies although they were incredible for that time.

Got anime?I do.

Remake the old Star Wars? Are you kidding? They are the only good ones, and without the new computer graphics they looked even better than they do now.

Remake Star Wars?

You cant do that, Mark Hamil has had to live off the proceeds of Star Wars fan meets and if you take that away from him he'd be ruined ! It's not like the guy can go out now and get another film role, at least, not unless he learns to act.

Your just cruel.

I just hope it doesn't flop.

Phantom Menace had a terrible storyline and now everybody wants to kill Jar Jar because of that movie.

Attack of the Clones was almost good, better story, but the acting by the new Annakan was terrible, I felt like standing up in the theater and shouting, "Get over yourself and quit throwing temper tantrums!"

The old ones were great.

i hope its great...episode 7 to 9 could be good....but who will play luke, and so on....there stories aare unconventional star wars tales but...they are kind of strange if not silly so ep. 3 has to be great....or else we might not see another truly great star wars film...

I hate all the prequels - where is the rough friendship of Han Solo and Luke that made the first ones so interesting?

The new films are so hopelessly polished to fit in with the SW univereses mythology that they forget to be fun or spontaneous. There is no fun, no humour and no character in either of the two new films. Same will go for the third, and every SW fan will be dissapointed once again. Debate this all you want, it's true.

I miss that claymation Rancor...
