Hi,

I have a problem with collision - finally sussed the 3d bit out - and now its collisions turn!!!!!!

I set up camera collision, but for some reason when i tried to move the camera it locked - and wouldnt move. I could only think this happened cos i positioned the camera slightly aboth floor level - using the get ground height terrain command - so maybe cos it actually touching the floor plus 3 the math isnt fast enough to actually realise the camera is not touching the floor (thats my theory anyway) . I then tried positioning a sphere at the camera coord and locking it on so it moved with all movement controls - thus determining the players collision coords - however when i bumbped into a 3d object i went through it>>>.

can anyone supply me with some simply coord so i can see how collision works when using the camera as the player like in an FPS.

What collision commands are you using, some code might help to see what you are trying to do.

Usually collision with terrain is just a simple case of positioning the camera at get ground height every cycle.
