Hmmm...
My idea : Screen savers of 5 mbs means ressource leeching (yes, DarkBasic is making 5mb executable EVEN if you have a one-line source =P (aaah,dx9 =)). A screensaver, well, for me, is more like "make something move on my screen not tu harm it, without interrupting any background service / program running". I dont understand why people would heat up their graphic card while not at their computer... because a screensaver is only user when you are *not* at computer..
but, if you really want...
put your .SCR in the windows folder, it should appear now in the listbox of screensaver choices (right-click on the desktop, proprieties, screensaver tab OR control panel, display)

Oz_ you insult me and everyone else who has posted screensaver code and advice to this board or the code snippet board. Your inability to use the search feature is the root of your problem.

1. http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_read&i=1
2. Click on the search button or go to the bottom of the page.
3. Type "screen saver" or "screensaver" in the search text box.
4. Click on the search button (inside the box).
5. Read the various posts.

Note: "screen saver" and "screensaver" will give you different search results. I suggest doing this twice.

When reading posts, be aware that the yellow source button will open up a new window containing source code when you click on it.

XGodSoul, relax. Some people enjoy watching screen savers. People also use them to display family photos, team spirit, places they'd like to visit, and other driftwood that is part of the human condition. Do you remember the Johnny Castaway screen saver? Then, there are the 'working' screen savers such as the SETI and other research number crunchers.

I am perfectly relax. Sorry if i seemed aggresive. Well, i would more qualify these kind of screensavers "Graphic Demo" than screensaver. Beside that, you can do whatever you want, whatever i say =). I saw once, i dont remember where, a 3d LOTR screensaver, wich was taking almost 100% of your computer ressource... I just wonder why people find this so exiting heating up their computer while absent. if anyone has the answer... It is only my opinion...

LOL, no problem. Everyone has to learn sometime. And, the current search feature has its own quirks such as searching titles only. This is why 'oldbies' harp on people with stupid titles to their messages. Titles like HELP ME or L337 C0D3R HERE!!! are useless.

Good point, XGodSoul. Screen savers have long since drifted away from protecting low tech monitors to become exercises in graphics programming. I know I'm guilty of that, I like rotating cameras, sky sphere nebulae, and 3D starship models.
