DarkBASIC Discussion / which is faster, .x or DB primative?

I read somewhere that .X models were less of a performance hit than DB's own primatives, is this true ? and if so, does that apply to planes made in DB as opposed to planes made in a 3D modeler?

DB primitives, like spheres, cones and cylinders really bog down the game. I try to model my own whenever I can. I'm not sure about plains, but I think they would have the same amount of polygons.

Aramil is right... it's easy for testing, but just grabbing an 3d program an model a primitive is MUCH quicker ... btw.. if you quickly want to make a primitive, i recommend zmodeler www.zmodeler2.com just go to the downloads section and click the old zmodeler1 because v2 is beta now
