And I know this is not actually what you were looking for, but The Beginner's Guide to DarkBASIC Programming has a great chapter on multiplayer. And no, I do not get any benefit form you buying the book! I got it and enjoyed it quite a bit (except for the skimpy chapter on 3-D)!

Fraggles where quite the scary lot...
