Nice... locking the thread of a post that compares two games as a reflection of the industry and games creation...?

What does this have to do with DBP? I guess people just blindly code, and don't bother with research or concepts...?

The point is? Oh, yeah great graphics really make a game...
Would it not be refreshing to see some posts on ideas, observations...?

Nah, sorry I'm wrong in trying to generate discussion that may push people to analyse game concepts and implementation, I'll go back into my box and figure out how to collide with myself....

time to lock this thread too...?

Yes, take a hint. The DBPro section is for DBPro, not games. Post these types of posts in General Discussion.

Yeah, there was nothing wrong with your post, it was just in the wrong section.

Isn't it? Wasn't it? Marvellous!

Use you're brain, Exeat mean't general talk. The description should really be changed, but anyway as far as I could tell, your post wasn't about game making, it was about game playing.

@Hamish McHaggis

sorry but I read "non game-making related talk" as meaning "non game-making related talk"...? Must remember to stop understanding English....

or maybe they could change it to "non game making in detailed code related talk"...?

"your post wasn't about game making, it was about game playing"

You need to be able understand game play to make a game. The ability to research, analyse and then produce a concept, not just sling in some slinky code and bash some quality graphics out...? LOL

-trying to generate discussion that may push people to analyse game concepts and implementation-

being flamed is more fun than playing or making games...
I suggest the darkbasic forums have rotating discussion group names, so everyone can join in...

it would have been fine if you had just started talking about how you would go about making one of those games or or a game that you were making modeled after them. but you just started talking about 2 games. there is a reason that the forum section is called dark basc pro.

http://www.nuclearglory.com/?u=fearik = sweet as hell collision system. easy on that leather thing in your back pocket too.

Create a thread in the general discussion forum, and it'll stay unlocked.

This one has turned into a slugfest, so it's going the way of the other one ...
