The original code just has either missing braces or braces in the wrong place - depending on how you look at it.

Here's the equivalent with braces:

You need a ; after each command I know people have sorted this, but for future refrence.

A semi-colon terminates a line. Although JavaScript is rather relaxed about this, opposed to Pascal, C or Java.
