Newcomers DBPro Corner / When ghosted i cannot see my image underneath it

I have two object - one ghosted. The ghosted image is the topmost wjilst i placed the other object underneath it expecting to see it through the first objects transparency....but.... i didnt - and the image underneath doesnt show through/....

Why is this?
