Well I finally got my server back up and running so my email's working again, unfortunately I just received this email:

So I'm guessing I have a virus that is automatically emailing people on my Outlook address. Coincidentally I actually did a virus scan this morning but for some odd reason it error'd out and didn't finish so I'll have to try another fairly soon.

Anyway, if you've received any emails from my address (Exeat@Designex.net) then don't open it because it'll most likely be a virus. Just warning you and sorry, this is the first virus I've gotten.

if your av errored out then update and try again, if you still get errors then get another AV, some virii will disable any AV they find (or try to), antivirus software should protect it`self against that sort of thing, another exe trying to close the AV? surely thats not legit? how hard would that be to spot if the AV was any good?.

Well I already have the latest update so I tried again and it worked this time without any problems (must have been a one off before). Anyway, Norton AV reported no virii at all so I decided to use the net to find a way to manually remove the 'Cat.cpl' virus or 'Bagle' worm, anyway, I followed the steps and there were no signs of it in my registry or in the directories it apparently install itself into. My conclusion:

Someone else has the virus and has my email and Mussi's in their address book and so it emailed Mussi with my email spoofed as the 'From' address and that's why I got the Mailer Daemon error when it didn't get through. Oh well, as long as I know I'm safe.
