For internet gameplay, how would I tunnel through a router? Also with the network commands, it seems like you only need to enter in the IP of the server, then anyone who connects to it will automatically have their IP sent in. But if they are behind a router, it doesn't automatically find the right IP. Any ways of getting around this?

you dont need Tunnelling per se, you need port forwarding. I havent had to do this for any online games but maybe some need it. Find the port forwarding section in your router settings, type in the port the game is using, and add your machines local lan ip to it. Now any traffic arriving to your router on that port will be forwarded to you specif machine.

It can be set up to work without doing that. I don't want to give people a game and tell them they need to set up port forwarding on their router to use it. I want something that people can use with no set up required.

It doesn't seem to work unless I do something like specify a DMZ host. I've tried it with 2 people, I need to call one of them back up and find out if UPnP was enabled on his router, though I'm guessing it was. It was strange, his computer was recieving info from mine, but I wasn't recieving from his. Though I haven't done enough testing to fully say where the issue is, I'm betting it's the router blocking it. I still need to do a lot of testing. Have you, or anyone else on here, done network games through the internet with DBP? With routers thrown into the mix of course.

warcraft3 hosting requires this
your internet ip might be 210.0.45.45
your routers lan ip might be 192.168.0.1
your machines ip might be 192.168.056
set it to port 6112 and tcp as the type
I use ip net router on a mac and its dead easy to use.
