is it possible to pass a value to a sub routine..

If this is DBPro, you can pass values into functions. If classic, I don't know as I dont have classic.

Yes, like jasuk70 said, you'd use a function for that, in either DBC or DBP. However, you can also have subroutines, which can access most variables anyway without you having to pass them in.
