Ooh, free advertising

Wasn't able to finish up the design due to a recent hand injury (which has healed enough that I really should be able to finish it up), but hey, its my website:

Preston P. Chaderton Designs - All about my software, projects, and media (from models and shaders, to horrible repetitive modplug mods). Includes tutorials (as soon as I bother to write some) and a discussion forum.

Cheers,
Preston

As part of GRIP (Google Rank Improvement Program) here goes. Nothing to do with Gaming or programming. The only vague link I can think of is that TGC used to use the same eCommerce app for their shop.

Well I would not use it, because when you have a small screen or you write too much text, you maye see the text is overlapping, and you can not read anything anymore.

404 name not found,

To be blunt, your site sucks. It's a cheap HTML site which is annoying and isnt even done. You tell people to register for $14.95 (which I wouldnt even pay even if it's TGC), just for "secret links and unreleased software". Please! Your downloads page isnt even done yet, and you expect to have a membership system going? You cant even regulate how users access the secret links. Anyone could easily save the links and give them to anyone they wanted. Heck, Jimmy could just access your files and see where you are keeping your secret pages and software. Then, you are telling people that you will host their software for the cheap price of $1/month? I don't see how that quite works, since you say they must already have a website so you can download the software. It doesnt make sense. If they really need anything hosted, they could just get their own account from Jimmy.

Don't expect to make any money, because you are a n00b who cant spell and tries to make money off of anything he can.

Oh, that reminds me, I've decided to start charging for my hosting.

It will now cost a box of corn flakes per month.
For those who already have hosting will only pay the discount price of half a box of corn flakes.

Speaking of flakes. 404, you make me SICK.

i can charge for what ever i want and how would you know it don't require a log on unless you hacked my site (excluding jimmy)
i take out my time for my programs and i just started hosting about 2 days ago my downloads page is done on my real site not my beta though i was going to lower the price of registration today and so what if my site is generic i have seen a lot worse and my site i took time and care although i do agree probably not enough i didn't really want this to turn into a flame page just a way to tell people about your site

by the way i now have an ftp site going but don't have any info on my website cause i just got it working about an hour ago

Just drop it. No point flaming him. If someone was stupid enough to willingly pay for anything like that for probably deserves getting scammed. Its like those 'Get rich quick working from home, just pay a setup fee of $200' spam you get on your e-mail(You know, the ones with a lot of exclamation marks). Only the really ignorant ones fall for it.

Stupid, thy name is 404 Name not found...

Heres a small scenario for you. I can register for your site (although I wouldnt in at least 1000 years), gain access to the secret links and downloads, and easily give them to anyone I want. There is nothing you can do to stop me, since it isnt illegal. You have nothing on your side to protect you from me spreading the links and software. I haven't seen much worse than your website, I mean on Jimmy's forums you claim to have a 1.5mbit connection, yet you cant even spell correctly on your own site.

The entire point I'm trying to get through your thick little head is that people shouldn't need to pay a n00b for crappy applications, especially if he cant spell on his website, and charges an insanely high price to become a member. Even TGC's price was lower than what you are (or were) asking for.

[EDIT]: I have decided to be fair and pay Jimmy for his webhosting. Here is proof I am going to pay him:

I am shipping those two boxes by Fedex. Air Fedex.

fine i wont sell anything that i dedicate my time to when i coudld be making money doing something else
what are you going to complain aboput my site next my free ftp service isn't free enough
i mis spell on my website a lot trying just to get it done i don't have a spell checker and i don't want to spend an hour checking every single little word you can mock me all you want but i am in progress of something good and i would prefer to have enough money to buy the full version of dbpro i made every little tag manualy not in a html helper not in front page all from notepad i do agree with every one that my site sucks but why do you have to make a flame thread cause of it
i almost wish a moderator would delete this thread and maybe when you all grow up i can start it once again
i am designing a website in flash mx and if that website isn't good enough when i get done then you can just live with it

the activated site i will delete so you all will shutup i am not making all of my programs free though and my ftp i will never have more than a 10kbs transfer speed for free anyway

Dude, I used to make my websites in Notepad, then I just got lazy. HTML isnt anything special, its not C++. Also, it doesnt seem like you dedicated much time to your app (thats right, I only saw 1 app on your website), plus, I don't know who would pay for a media player when Windows comes with Windows Media Player, and Winamp is free to download from Nullsoft.

Hey, Fella's

you people leave this guy alone he's making a basic site just like me. How would you feel if some maniac's come into your life saying stuff like your site is way too expensive or your site is way too basic and that stuff? I know how he feels and how you people would feel if this stuff happened to you. You guy's need to leave this guy alone let him do his work the way he wants and you do your work the way you want couse you people are hearting this dude's feelings maybe he's mad. Mad enough to tell people to not do anything with you people.

My point here is Leave this person alone
