I've finished composing all 6 different songs.

New demo is available on my website:

[href]www.freewebs.com/robocatgames[/href]

New demo has full music playing, which fits each tower.

Any feedback about the music is greatly appreciated!

Have fun!

I've put 1 of the pieces of music on my webpage.

It is the music for the menu and it lasts about 53 seconds.

Please post any feedback about the music as it is something I am not used to doing; I am new to composing music for games. Don't think its too bad for my first try but I need feedback to let me know!

<<<UPDATE>>>
Done a bit of work today on the game. Now the menu flys over the selected tower when you are choosing one. When you start the game the menu then looks down into the tower and flies through - a smooth transition to the game!

<<<UPDATE>>>

Remodelled the entire menu world, now looks far better.

Smooth transitions from: Start -> Menu; Menu -> Game; Game -> Game; Game -> Menu; and Menu -> End.

Each enemy snake looks different depending on the theme you have selected.

Shorter loading times.

Full music fades in smoothly from one to another.

New logo for robocat games. (see sig)

Currently working on a super-cool loading sequence.

Still seeking feedback on the music, any I recieve will be very greatly appreciated!

I downloaded the game and I get an error when I try to start the tower part.

Ok

Seeing as I have several hundred pieces of media included in the exe its likely that I've missed one out when adding them. That will probably be the reason as it works on my incredibly slow computer because I've been running the exe from the folder with the media in.

Oh well! When I get a chance I'll check all the media is included and update the demo!

Sorry that you couldn't play it!

Just finished testing the new .exe I've checked repeatedly that all the media is including and that the whole thing works. Got the first 20 levels done; Jungle and Water towers complete. Whole menu world is finished; going to tidy up the camera placements before I submit it. If you have or haven't played it already then I recommend (and hope) that you do. Any feedback is greatly desired.

The download is now available on my website!

Have fun!

Just realised that you can get to my site by doing a google search for "robocat games" Top of the list!

Anyway, got a few more levels made and polished it up a bit more!

Anyone tried the game yet as I'm desperate for some feedback as I'm running out of time!

I stopped on by to listen to Ring Rage, catchy tune. You captured that arcade theme quite well. I can't compose for beans and I'll have to rely on public domain sources. I wonder how that will affect our scores respectively.

Thanks!

Took me quite a while to compose it as it was my first ever composition. Luckily I had a casio keyboard to play around with till I got the basic tune.

Thanks for the reply.

In the opening sequence, did the type writer letters match up with the sound? The letters tend to lag behind on very slow computers as its loading in the background.

<<<UPDATE>>>

Menu buttons have been redone with a lower resolution to reduce loading times and also a nicer font and texture.

Loading cut-scene has been revamped and is nicer and shorter.

Menu world has fog at the bottom of the towers so there is no flickering change between the menu and the game - everything fades in and out seamlessly.

Made some bitmap font commands so all my text is nice and gradient filled.

All loading times are reduced.

I probably won't post another demo until I submit the final thing. An almost up-to-date demo can still be found on my website, any feedback is greatly appreciated and greatly desired as I'm running out of time to make any changes.

Have fun!
