Hi,

So, is Outrun 2 coming out in the UK on Playstation 2? I know it was supposed to be an X-Box exclusive, but I also read that now its coming on PS2 also.

I don't want to start a flame war on which console is best, this is purely about a game, regardless of format. I mean, if I was to comment on format then I'd rather play OutRun 2 on a Dreamcast

Anyway, any ideas if and when its coming out? I played the arcade machine last week, and I loved it. Not as much as the old 1-player sit-in, but a 4-player head to head with the remixed music blasing out louder that anything else in the arcade was pretty immense!

Cheers,

Bet it wont be coming out for the PC
Isn't it supposed to be coming out either at the end of the year or early-ish next year.

Doubt it will be on ps2 i have played the arcade version and i really don't think the ps2 can handle anything like that even if they do lower the detail settings on it.

Since when has there supposed to be a PS2 version? I thought MS paid a pretty massive sum to get it exclusive on the X-Box. Edit: But I'd love to be wrong

if there is a playstation2 version, and if it does get released in the UK... I have a feeling ppl will look at the X-Box version and think WTF?!

Outrun2 on the X-Box has some of the best damn graphics i've seen, and that includes all these snazzy new FPS games
The Sega UK Site though says X-Box only.

Ah, who cares anyway - it's just a racing game, totally not my "cup of tea". It does look great on the X-Box, but I'd rather be playing the new GTA game months ahead of everyone else on the PS2 Oh and not to mention Gradius V! Now THAT rocks.

I'm sure I read in Games(TM) it was coming on PS2... maybe it'll just be a few months after X-Box. Ah, new GTA... can't wait!

Should be good too... I've also complained to Konami about Gradius not being availiable on the PC

He he, outrun. Those kind of games were annoying cos you couldn't see what was coming up, the bends just suddenly appeared.

Isn't it? Wasn't it? Marvellous!

Both Outrun and Turbo Outrun on the C64 were excellent.

Here's a link to the official sega site about Outrun2, http://www.sega-europe.com/index.html by the look of things it is still destined for an XBOX exclusive buddy.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Clyde
