All I need is a simple free program that if I type something, it makes what I type 3D. Does anyone know of any 3D text programs? Thanks!

The demo of Rhino3D will also do text . . . but that's just a tad more power than you need.

download trueSpace2 which is still currently on my forums, the link is in a post about it.

cheap, renders 3D text and you have some nice tools ... but no watermarks, time restrictions, or polycount restrictions.

TrueSpace3se is on my website too, Vegeta's gotta get his no-permission illegal uploads upto date like me ;P. If anyone wants it they'll have to find it - clue: it's on the intro page with the visitor counter, but hidden somewhere.

I'm a big fan of Rhino's text, the way it handles them as nurbs is really cool, so you could cut them up and emboss text onto surfaces using nurb subtraction and deletion.
