Online as in massively multiplayer and free as in not old abandonware? No... However, there are a ton of old DOS sprite base FPSes floating about that are free now.

You Know It Gets Fairly Annoying When People Capitalize All Their Words. Along With Making Capitalization Pointless It Makes The Words Harder To Read. Because We're All Used To Reading A Language Which Has An Intelligent System For Applying Capital Letters.

But To The Point No There Are Not They Are Not Made Anymore However You Can Buy Doom Ultimate For $5 Or Plenty Of Other Games Cheap On Ebay.

Yeah, but it requires a semi-modern PC . Its use with me for example is limited to turning my tower case into a big frag grenade.

Sprites? Let's see.....there's a mac emulator on which you can run Marathon (bungie released it under one of the gnu licenses). There's also some people that have experimented with sprite FPSs using those little 2d clickittogether programs like GameMaker 5.

[EDIT]Even better! ID released Doom1,2,Final for $15.

Oh glory, intelligent capitalization . My thanks.

All the Doom games had some form of multiplayer. Using an improved engine like the Doomsday engine or Zdoom (Doomsday's better) you can have not only a better base engine but improved multiplayer too.
