Hi Guys

I wanted to know the following please.

If I use the command set display mode 1024,768,32 and I then create an object cube. Is the size I specify of the Cube in pixels or units?

Also where does the 0,0,0 axis point sit within the 1024,768,32 3d
world?

thanks
Barry

Resolution does not affect world units. The cube will take up the same area on-screen no matter what resolution you use.

There is no single point which is 0,0,0 on your screen. As soon as you move the camera, it will be in a different place - if it's on the screen at all at that point.

Thanks for the quick reply.

If I have the folowing:

screen is 1024x768 and I create a cube of 1 unit size

If i want to move the cube around the world and check whether the cube will go off the screen, what value would I check?

would I check that the cube is going passed 1024 or is there a specif unit value?

thanks

You can use the OBJECT IN SCREEN() and OBJECT SCREEN X()/OBJECT SCREEN Y() functions to see if the object is still in screen and what position its centre point is at in relation to the screen.
