Ok im looking for a program that i can use to create midi sound files for my 2d game. Does anyone know any free software that can do this, im terrible with music....

No matter what, you generally have to tell the midi program which notes to play. So some musical knowledge is noramlly required.
If that's not for you then I'd recommend searching for some free midi files that suit your game.



Im willing to find out what impossible means.

If you know guitar I suggest powertabs. I can have most of all musical insturments, not just guitars

Powertab isnt a particularly powerfull program, because it wasn't designed for writing game music on. Anvil studio looks like a good program, search for it on google.

I just use it because my main insturement is the guitar, and yes, it was designed more for like band music not game music

Yeah, I tried anvil studio and it works great (almost as good as Cakewalk, IMO, and even better in some areas).

Oog, I think this is in the wrong forum, but it's a good post. Maybe some nice moderator could move it so we don't have to restart.

Modplug can export to midi also, of course theres a few bugs to work around, but its easy once you learn them.
