Newcomers DBPro Corner / large .dat files

I encountered something strange today: when I was loading a big .dat file into my game, the game shuts down withouth giving an error mesagge. Is this normal? Can't you load big .dat files in your game, or is this something else that's the problem???

Probably something that you are doing. Example code would tell us for certain though

the code works fine for about 30 lines in the dat file, but when i use more, the game shuts down. but i'll think i just make the data in a new source file
