Sure, just use the "write file file#,variable" command to write integers to files, and use read file to load them, you can do a .txt file or you your own custom file, such as .rpg, or whatever.

That is the exact method I use for game saving. Just make sure you write and read the exact same variables in the exact same order. What you save depends on many factors, for example: do you really want to save the position of every object, or just the players progress through the levels. There are many different levels of saving possible, pick the best one for your game type.
