Hi All

I am trying to load in 3ds and .x models. when I try load ,3ds models my system takes forever to load and all i get is a black screen and I have to ctrl+alt+del to end the task. When I load .x models they load with no problems.

Has anybody experianced this and have a fix for it. I would prefer to have .3ds models as I use 3ds max for my model creation.

Thanks

Hi, Im using the panda x exporter for 3dsmax6. I would also like to know what settings to use, because I can export a model and load it in dbpro but it doesnt display the texture or play the animation, just the plain first frame. Please Help.
Thankyou

I am also interedted in this, as almost everything on 3DCafe is in .3DS form. I just tried to load my first .3ds model yesterday amd got the same results!

3DS max is too expensive anyway MS3D is only 20 bucks and -perfect- for DB uses!

Thers a 3DS to .x converter that comes with DBC, and in DBP I think theres a hidden command,,soemthing like 3DS2X, they might have taken it out though.
