Newcomers DBPro Corner / The windows directory...the windir$ command, help!

Okay I'm trying to write a file to the windows directory, just to test something out. here is the code i am using:



But when I compile it,it says "variable windir$ name is not valid"! i also tried "set dir windir$" but that didnt work either. Any suggestions? Thanks

Windir$ is blank.
And use open to write 1, windir$+"/test.txt"

Comands that return a value need brackets.



And don't go writing games that leave stuff in peoples windows directories

shrink those dbpro exes
Create patches for your dbpro games
