oh by the way i also host websityes the url for your site would be
http://free-space.myftp.org/yoursite
i can if requested(free though you just have to request it) make you a sub-domain
for no-ip.com.org or .biz or myftp.org or myftp.biz

my website hosting isn't that great though(if it wasn't mine i would say it sucks)
but my internet is a little slow so i am limited as far as bandwidth and since my http server software don't support transfer speed limits or bandwidth limits i must make the webspace small for your website so you are limited
5mb for website 50mb for normal ftp 5mb for public access ftp
and all for FREE!!
what could be better

you must host with YOUR connection and must use YOUR hdd space
and trust me even 512kbs dsl is slow at uploading (probably about 60kbs max at uploading) and plus you must get a http or ftp server software and then some isp's will just make it harder on you and block some ports and besides
it is free and you don't have to deal with all the crap of settingg up one especially if you have a modem with a built in firewall

but suit your self if you want to host your own

as far as cgi not yet unless you want to share a cgi bin with everyone else cause my http server software wasn't designed to do multiple domains
on the rest it is compatible with anything that don't require a cgi bin

When I hosted a HTTP server, it wouldn't work but FTP does.
Why does Adelphia block my HTTP port?

some isp's block port 80 for spamming(not for sure what that has to do with spam though it just keeps you from hostuing a website)
@jebus

Hi there, your website seems ok, it's a bit basic.
If you ever want to put content next to your navigation you wont be able to do that with your current code very easily...

I myself have a website dedicated to cats soon to come! It's actually finished, forums and all... But I'm debated wheather to release it to you greedy forum members or not.

I actually have a web server using linux and apache. and I would host my website and forum on that server, but it currently has some PHP issues, so I'm currently just going to go with a temporary host... But I'm not offering free space to peeps.
You know what could be better? Having your uncle pay for your domain name!

Keep up the work...

Did you say advertise your site? As in, put a pop-up/banner/link on your website? Becuase I'll need free advertising when my website is released to the public.

i can no pop-ups though cause i know how much i and everyone else hates them i wouldn't use my site for rather laerge scale websites cause it is limited to 256kbs dsl and the average upload speed is a meer 15kbs and i have a brother that will disconnect me if i use too much bandwidth
a link to your site is free a banner is free for NOW it would be nice though if you do want ads on my site though just to put a link to my site in your seealso page or under sponsers or soemthing

i am planning on using apache for my http but i can't get it working can you help any but i run windows so it is probably different

Maybe when I introduce my site to the public I'll look into getting a banner/link on your website... And yes, for any site that links me, I will link them, it is covered in the advertising thread on my forums... If you could go there..... Too bad you cant... Becuase it's not publicly released....

No giveaways in my sig

timed out usually means a firewall is blocking you
if it says host can not be resolved then your ip address isn't online
yours said timed out
plus that is your network ip get your external ip from a website like ipchicken.com

Ok I did but now it sais "Connection could not be established"
and
"Unable to initialize interface on the ip that ipchicken gave me" when I try to get my FTP server to use that IP.

(It's 69.171.37.135)
And connect to ftp://69.171.37.135/ as guest with no password.

You'll notice that it's not anywhere near up to date, or looked after, but it's there, and Giles put in a lot of work for it, so give it a whirl
