That looks excellent! But what game exactly are you modeling yours after? I don't see any worm, tank or fps game in that.

@AluminumPork: I don't think that this is for the TGC Compo 2004, but after another competition where you remake any classic game... I'm not positive but that's what I think.

@DarkPhear: Looking great! Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see a demo.

Izzy, your right, I've been to a site called retro remakes and it's got the same logo as the one on the screenies.

Got anime?I do.

It's not for TGC - it's for the Retro Remakes Competition 2004.

yeah, i almost entered into that but i couldn't find a game easy enough to re-make...that would beat the 250+ other entrants

This game was pretty hard to develop, much harder than I though. And it's not 100% finished yet. I have about 1500 lines of code, and the uncompressed executable has 8 Mb. The graphics are good and the gameplay is pretty close to the original Atari 2600 game, I think I really have a chance to win at least a special prize.

@Peter_H: I don't really think 250 entries will be finished at all. Maybe 150... Maybe 100... Maybe 50
@others: I'm glad you like it.

Looking very nice, now I realise why I gave up on my entry.

Just out of interest, what program are you using for the terrain?

I'm happy you like it guys
I'm specially happy because this is my first 3D game ever
Well, the terrain is pretty simple. I'm using a 20x20 tiles scrolling DBPRO matrix, a ghosted plane for water and another plane for sky reflexes. I use scroll texture for those two planes. Object shadows are textured planes with transparency effect, positioned under the water plane.
