I just ran 3D Mark 2003 on my computer and scored a 1717. Is that any good for the specs I have? I would do better if I installed new drivers, but I'm getting lazy.

What did you guys get?

SPECS:
AMD Athlon XP 3000+, 512MB RAM, 128MB ATI RADEON 9600SE, 16x DVD ROM & CD-R/W 52x32x52 Combo Drive, 19" Flat Screen CRT, 3 12" Cold Cathode Blue Neons

I just ran 3DMark 03 on a Dell Dimension 2400 with built in graphics and a Celeron 2.4Ghz and scored a whopping... 43 3DMarks. That sucks.

And can someone please answer my question, is my score good for my system??

@Zone Chicken-

i haven't used 3dmark in a long time but i used to get... 2700? 3300? or was it 1300? i forget. anyway i don't go by 3dmark. i got 10000 with 3dmark01 and other people with the same system were getting 18000. whatever. i don't care. as long as i can make my games and play halo at an incredible framerate

OK enough of that damn DBP fanboy banner. i'm NOT a DBP fanboy in any way. i haven't used DBP in over a year, and i don't really plan on using it again.

1717 for a 3ghz machine and a 9600SE is pretty lame. I get 1500 on a 1.1ghz Athlon with an FX5200.

I think you need updated drivers.

@Van B-
Its not a 3Ghz system its a 2.1Ghz.
And yeah I do need to update my drivers. Plus I got a cr@ppy 9600SE. I'm saving money to get a new 256Mb 9800XT.

Don't bother... get a X800 pro for about the same price. IMHO 9800 is a waste of time now, cause for justa tiny bit more you can get the x800 pro.

Specs: AMD 64bit 3200+, Gigabyte GA-K8NS Pro motherboard, ATI Radeon 9600XT 128mb, 120GB Maxtor 7200RPM, 17 inch flat screen, and 1.5 MBIT

Or should I get an x800 platinum for about $400+.

I need some help on a new card. Radeon 9800, x600, x800, Geforce FX series or what?

Just curious, how bad my PC sucks.
I downloaded the demo of 3d Mark, it did:
Game Test 1
0 out of 2 CPU Tests
2 out of 5 Feature Tests
3 out of 3 Sound Tests

It errored on the last soud test and the Results section says

Score:72 3dMarks

Where can one find 3Dmark? This probably a very stupid ?, but googled it and did not find. I've never run 3Dmark, just Benches from games.

Sir Spaghetti Code, note that there is "limited functionality," unless you pay, and it's 178 megabytes.

Wow, I thought my score wasn't that good... 7228! Looking at your scores, this is pretty cool!

2.4 GH Intel Celeron
GeForce 6800 AGP 4x (cos my motherboard is rubbish)
inbuilt sound (weird; in 3dMark03 it says that it can't do any sound tests)
512 MB DDR RAM

The Painkiller demo works amazing with my new overclocked 6800 (370/860) with everything on full, however the UT 2004 demo still runs at about 13 FPS with lowest settings. Really odd. I suppose that's just UT being annoying

?
My specs:
3Ghz P4 with HT
1GB Ram
And...
A GeForceFX 5200
My graphics card is probably the reason I got such a horrible score.
EDIT: Oh and Creative SB Live! Series sound card.

3DMark depends way too much on your graphics card.
