hey guys, im just another new programmer out there, however i can only compentently program in Java.

i would learn DBPro, however i'm not sure it's worth the effort.

i'm currently working on a java game, if you want to see it, go to my site, and click the link on the first newsitem.
its an applet, you dont have to download anything.

P.S. i just realized that this is a DB only forum/site
but since i want to learn db anyway, i have a few questions:
1)what are differences between dbc, dbce, and dbp?
2)expensive?
3)is it easy to create nice looking games? (compared with something like java, in which it's difficult)
4)is it easy to publish?
5)does it have massive multiplayer capabilities?
6)easy to learn?
7)any popular games made in it?

1)what are differences between dbc, dbce, and dbp?

dbc - old version, no longer being updated
dbpro - new, better version, being updated

2)expensive?

prices are on this website

3)is it easy to create nice looking games? (compared with something like java, in which it's difficult)

It's easy for some people - personally, I'm finding it pretty reasonable to learn

4)is it easy to publish?

By publish - you mean distribute to the masses? If so, I'd say that has not much to do with the programming language.

5)does it have massive multiplayer capabilities?

It has multiplayer capabilities - but I can't tell you how easy it is to get it working.

6)easy to learn?

see answer number 3

7)any popular games made in it?

DBpro isn't the choice of professionals if that's what you mean.

Expensive i'd say no but some people's budget are different then others of course. If you do buy it and need other software i'd suggest you look at there money saving buget packs, they offer the best price's.

Have you looked at the showcase's

games
http://darkbasic.thegamecreators.com/?m=showcase&i=3

graphical demo's
http://darkbasic.thegamecreators.com/?m=showcase&i=4

app's
http://darkbasic.thegamecreators.com/?m=showcase&i=5

retro entries
http://darkbasic.thegamecreators.com/?gf=retro_entries

muliplayer i belive is only in pro, although i haven't used classic version or enhanced, so not 100% sure

C++ is more complex commands but, more control over your program
I started learning c++ on my own only to get frustrated after about 4 months with what i would call lack of progression so decided to try a basic language first instead, and darkbasic seemed like a good choice for me, im happy with the language so far although i've only been learning it for a couple of month's, it does however have it's bugs, but no programming language is 100% bug free and theres always work arounds for most of them, and tgc seem to be working pretty hard on fixing most of the current bug's.
