it's time to introduce
ASTRUM ERUS: STARLORD lite.

it is a turn-based space strategy game, of the 4X variety
(eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate).

so far iv'e been working on it for 7 months.
the DBPRO code is currently 15895 lines long.
it compiles to a .exe of over 9MB,
with no media attached...this will be tricky to
host, especially since i've never done that before.

let me know if you can access this website.
it has a general overview with 6 screenshots.

PLEASE NOTE:
the 2D graphics are not at all what i want. in fact,
i need someone who can create a comprhensive feel for
the windows and buttons, because i'm not really skilled
in graphic design. (but the code is 90% finished...i can
do that...) anyone who can help with art, let me know.

(sorry...i forget HTML to make that link blue)

From the game description this should be a fantastic game if you can pull it off. Hopefully you will be able to find someone to help do the graphics (you should probably try the Team Request forum if you haven't done so already) as it would be a shame if this never gets finished - like a lot of WIP games. From the looks of this you've done a ton of work already so chances are that this will get finished.

Good luck!

[Edit]
I can access your website but the last 4 screen shots didn't appear!

Hahaha! Tremble in terror at the sight of my pulse cannons!

This is a lot like a game a few colleagues and I have been developing. Look like yours will be pretty good, I hope you have some excellent gameplay, as good 4x games are really lacking these days.

High quality models and graphics, low prices. Graphics for the rest of us.

thanks for the feedback.
a few things i should mention...

the galaxy map and the combat screens are all 3D, while the windows
and buttons are 2D images and sprites...

AND. the only major functionality i still need to incorporate is the ability to invade and capture enemy colonies. everything else is done and working...of course there are a few minor revisions to work out, but it's almost done.

the omega version is underway.
strategic ground combat, tactical space combat,
updated graphics, espionage, planet climate & stability,
polution, 35 different weapons, actual treaty negotiation,
and your tech tree will never be the same twice!
ETA: 1 year.
this will be a comercial-grade release when it happens.
