I want to make a game called "Cybergod" where you really could play a God, you can create your own planets, and civilisations , have your own Adam and Eve or even, if your that way inclined Adam and Steve, up to you make alien cultures and races who worship you,.

You can be a good or evil God, you can create a Heaven for spirit creatures or those you think deserve to be in your Heaven with you or Hell to burn your creatures forever and a day for the wrong things they did during their brief lifetime especially if they don't believe you exist,or you can make them live forever in cyber terms you could even make Heaven a super planet, up to you and I want to make it mulitplayer so you can battle other players civilisations as a God or you can fight in a fighter or bomber or in a hovertank, whatever, you can even have your spirit creatures and alien creatures battle other players creatures. I have vehicle code already as well as 1st and 3rd person camera's .I would need a programmer to make a level editor that could create planets and modellers to create some planets as well as models of vehicles as well as people, aliens e.t.c.

How I see it is you can create a planet and go and look at it in the 1st person and wonder around in it, have civilisations, posses a creature and walk around, even create your own creature out of cyberdust, So what do people think any interested

I did put this on the Team Requsts but I want to see what [eople think and I saw the Virtual Nation Thread got some idea's so what do people think?

Sounds kind of like Black&White. But if it's very well done it should be a hit with whomever you want to give or sell it to.

I have no idea how Adam and Steve would make a baby, Bolt LOL but I might make it so that some males can auto matically be changes to have female parts like the Sea Horse where the male gives birth to kids and not the female, still me personally I prefer Adam and Eve but it would be to get all types of people all types of choices.

I envisage on multipayer though massive wars between universes, and thousands of races fighting each other, It would need a powerful central server but you would have lots of planets, galaxies and stars in whihc to fight in and lots of Gods slinging all types of weapons at each oher if you are a Warlike God or Goddess. You could sling planets and even whole stars at you enemies

but if you are a peaceful God /Goddess you could allow your creatures to trade with another Gods creatures in their universe, allow your creatures to forge ahead with new technologies, let them explore their and other's universes, allow them to live forever e.t.c

And the best bit is that is could aall be in the First Person or 3rd Person as well having the god view camera, you would have all types of vehicles and can have all types of creaturesI was thinking of even allowing players to import their own models into the game on creatures, vehicles e.t.c

I am not sure how to do a God Model but that could be anything and you can be in the God model in the 1st person and fight other gods this way so what do people think about that? and who would like to model and help me program it as I got the vehicle progamming thing down, it's just creating the A.I and models

Lol! For all I know, you could be a programming genious - but if by any chance you're not, then I can't help thinking you're being just a bit overambitious. No offence, but do you really have the expertise to create a multi-universe, multiplayer game, with complex AI, evolving civilizations, warfare, etc.....?

Well, I hope you do succeed. You must realise, though, that people are going to giggle a bit when you talk about producing something extremely large and complex, before you really have the know-how to achieve it. If you set realistic targets based on your current ability, you've more chance of a) success and b) people taking you seriously.

Good luck though! Hope you prove me wrong!

Well I know that but I have already, player controls, vehicle( both ground and Air) controls & 1st and 3rd person camera's what is need is :

1)Getting in and out of multiple vehicles for the player
2)Possessing A.I NPC'S
3)Doing A.I , i.e when they are hungry, when they eat, when they are born, when the die ,when they go to the toilet, if they are good and evil, getting in and out of multiple vehicles for a.i , e.t.c
4)Making planets I know of Mojoworld Editor but that is about £150 at themoment and I couldn't get it on their last sale (which was £80 )Still it might not be the right software and we want the player to create planets themselves so that might be a difficult one where I miht need a lot of help

For an evolving and complex world with hundreds of NPCs, #3 is going to prove to be extraordinarily complex. I suggest reading a book on AI theory, because it seems like it would not be too hard, but it is. It's very hard.

Why do you need to make planets if the user will be making them. You just need to make an engine and the media, nothing needs to be done physically in the game, just an engine.

yes its a very good idea but wont your planet be have to be a lil small?

i think making a world like black and white would be very nice, and very possible to make, if you have all the skills to make it work then great!

Yes I did say that RPgamer that having an already made planet might ctually defeat the purpose of the game what I would like to do is say have a sphere that's surface can be raised to make a mountain or lowered to make a plain , also it would be best to have a way of making a sphere with a water texture which moves like water.

Also have a default mountain and a default set of rock formations, but basically, the sphere model 's landscape can be deformed and the player has another sphere or water , plus the player can make another transparent sphere for an atmosphere.

I was thinking that you could do this with a mouse, you would click on a bitmap named "raise" and the ground is raised with a brush shape, say a cone, or square, or oblong e.t.c. and the ground is raised in that way,

Click on another bitmap caled"lower" and the reverse happen's not sure thoough if Dark Basic Classic could really do it as I also want tto use the mouse to zoom the camera into an area of the planet or backoutwards into space. I haven't seen any mouse wheel commands and I am using Dark Basic Enhanced

Thing is that would be quite good just making an engine and the A.I brains and media plus player controls so you can possess the A.I plus get into and out of Ground and Air vehicles, including horses, chariots, Dragons, other creatures of Mythology e.t.c. that they player can put together and let his creatures use, eat , kill e.t.c
and just let them make what they want, so in a way they are making a game themseleves although a lot less harder than what the programmer has to do.

Yes I argee RPgamer came out with avery good idea there

@dark coder, I think it can be done so the planet can be like an ordinary sphere but the other models are even smaller than the sphere (obviously) but the sphere would be small yet massie to the media the player would ut on it , this had already beeen done in a way with Mojoworld Editor , as that uses fractal equations it uses different textures for the water and the terrain but for me the trick would be to be able to use the textures as terrain and to allow the terrain to be raised or lowered
