no you add white to areas of your bitmap image you will be using as your heightmap.

heightmap is exactly what it sounds like, you create a "map" on a bitmap image with black, white, and grey shades.

black=lowest part of the terrain
white=the highest part of the terrain
grey= all shades of grey consist of parts of terrain between -black- and -white- (ie. the darker the shade the lower that part of the terrain will be) cup of joe anyone?

EDIT:
Why was the other "available dll" thread locked? It's much more up-to-date than the stickied one.

Shouldn't that be SET TERRAIN TEXTURE 1, "Mossy.bmp", 1

No, the first parameter is the terrain to add the textures to, the second is the "main" texture and the third is the detail texture.

What is the format you use for entering the name of the landscape file to use when using the DBP code from the software to run in your own program ? I have a file called mike1.lds in a folder called test under the projects folder, but entering mike1.lds brings up an error, do I need speech marks or something else ??

You dont need to download. Advanced Terrain are included in DBP since version 5.9.

Yes I have the same problem. Not sure but it seems that all the help systems are out of control?

Thank you TGC for creating such amazing products!

I tried to install the terrain pack, and now when i try to compile any program, it askes me to enter my email and cd key. But i didn't buy the cd, just the download, so I want to take the terrain pack off! I really need help or else I can't compile any of my programs.

edit

I suppose I could wait for the seven day trial to end, but still it would hinder my game making progress...
