Might as well post this up here.

I wrote this a while ago, it explains how to generate textures for a heightmap to be used in Advanced Terrain.

Also, how exactly did you make the base image (what you did in PSP 8). I think yuo need to elaborate a little more...not USING the paint program but how to design the base image

They're the same thing?

Anyway it's just a black image with an airbrush / paintbrush painted all over it. No fancy filters, etc.

No no what i meant was like, how you should design your base image, like what that huge black thing in the middle was (in ur example). I dint really get what that was supposed to be.
