does anybody know where i can get a human proportioned sprite of a person walking up,down and left(or right). I can draw sprites, i cant draw the animation sequences smoothly if at all....I would prefer a large size (like the old beat em up games)...please..but if small is the only ones available ten that would do as well...

Here's an interesting idea that I've recently started testing out. If you can get your hands on a copy of Poser made by Curious Labs (http://www.curiouslabs.com it has a walk designer that you could use to create an animation sequence of walking steps. The program can then export that in to a series of images. It was from those images that I started making tilesets out of.

The program has tons of options and is a great tool for character animation and design!
