Hey there everyone (long time no see!)

I've just got an email from "the Rexon Group ltd". Asking about distributing one of my games with a pack of 24 other shareware/freeware games in Czech Republic, to help children familiarize with technology.

Is this a joke or a trap ? they don't want my credit card number so i guess it's not.
Has anyone else got this too ? we're 25 i guess at least one other DBer is on the CD..

What's your thoughts ? should I ask them some big moeny for my *freeware* game ?

anyway, looks weird.. but the weirdest is the 30 download a day for CowAbducter al of a sudden. 8|

Sounds dodgy, but you could try:

- Ask them for an address
- Phone no. (not mobile)
- Portfolio of previous releases
- Where you might find previous releases
- Full breakdown on any risks

If it's freeware, why not, it's free publicity. If not, be suspicious.

This sounds familiar. Is what you're talking about the same as this?

TobyQuan: interresting thread. Maybe it's the same guy, with a new name, that is now actually asking authorisation before putting the games on CDs

I was somewhat suspicious as well when my downloads started really picking up (almost 1000 a day!) for WordTrix 2.0--- I checked the raw logs and a large chunk is coming from a Russian site. I checked the page out and it looks like a review--- written in Russian. Strange.

The day my game was somehow submitted to Game Hippo - my website traffic went through the roof!

Now, seeing how powerful it is, I sumbit all my games to GameHippo. I don't mind if my freeware games spread.

I see Wordtrix 2.0 on a buncha freeware sites. Funny thing is alot of them are spanish, so for some strange reason they like guessing the english words. You outta force a spanish guy to do a translation of it .
