i wonder if any of u can remember where i can find a tutorial of making a 3D object viewer.

i nkow it might be easy to do but i just wanna see it to get some ideas on how to code 1 neatly as i got an idea for what to add to one.

i been trying to get some renders of my 3D objects when they are textured but 3DS skews the image i've used. even though i uv maped it. yet they show fine in my games exatly as i textured it.

so that why i'm wanting to make a 3D model viewer which can open the model file i want to view and then save the result on screen as an image file. This way i can see how the model will look in DB and also show you all what my models look like.

if you could help us with this i'll be beeming. either a tutorial or a little code help wouldbe great.

chears all

Don't know about any tutorials but if you go to the 20 line challenge forum and search for the word viewer it will show you some examples.

Check the codebase as well, there are no doubt several model viewers in there.

had a look in the code base last night. found summat that could be usefull but didn't look coz it was late and was about to goto bed.

to be honest i could make the viewer but its the changing of the files that puzzle me. found something in the codebase but it wasn't commented that well and some of it didn't make any sence.

anyway, can DBpro programmes take screenshots? i think i read somewhere that they can. if so are they saved into the prorammes directory?
