When you use the "get image" command on a bitmap, what format is the image you get? If the bitmap was a .dds, would the new image be a .dds?

It's proberly in whatever format directx uses internally for textures.
When you load an image to a bitmap it becomes a bitmap, it's initial format is irrelevent. It will also be restricted by the constraints of a bitmap. Bitmaps don't do transparancy so if you load a png with transparancy to a bitmap the transparancy info is lost.

it's cool to hate
