Help!
Magic World is a very useful piece of software, but because you have to position the matrix at 0,0,0 then any object placed on the matrix (provided you positioned them in M.W) are left in the original position, and not moved along with the matrix. Is there a solution?
thanks

I don't think you have to place the Matrix at 0,0,0 do you? If you can give me a better example, I'll take a look, as I'm currently working with the MW source.

Yes, if you just simply load the matrix, the height recognition is off. I asked how to solve this problem and was told that you have to position the matrix at 0,0,0. This cured the problem, but as I said all objects are then put out of place.

Do you mean the objects look OK in MW, but when you load them in a DB application, it positions it incorrectly?

If this is the case, it sounds like the include file needs editing. The coordinates are saved in the file, maybe they are not being used correctly when loading.

If you save a world and open it again in MW, it should look OK - yes? This proves the file is OK, but the include code is wrong.

Why not position your matrix before placing any objects, that way everything will be fine, wont it?
Batvink, are you modifying MW and if so in what way? I'm interested as I have modified it (only slightly) to suit myself.

Hi, you don't have to position your matrix at 0,0,0. You just need to remember where you put it, and add (or subtract?) those XYZ figures to your functions when calculating GroundHeight for example.
