I didn't rip them. This isn't my site, I just found it. I like using sprites from other video games in two ways. 1. as place holders so I can continue to program without having to wait for my 2d guy to catch up and 2. Use them as a posture template so I know what poses my sprites need to be in. In this respect, popular sprites are very useful even if they aren't part of the final product.
