Yay Ive been working on a new matrix editor that is designed for building huge levels it currently supports upto 4 matrixes to be editited at once so you can have seamless matrixes and I will be releasing it soon for a public aplha test it currently will probably run well on anycomp my FPS rate is 50-60 when editing it (on other games that people get 60+ fps I get 5-20)

sounds like it works fine
is it written in DBC? (sice you get 60fps)
are you using moveable windows or just a menubar?
or keyboard commands and no mouse?

good job on making 4 matrices editable at once! I dont thjink I would have done that! am not so good in matrix editing....

looking forward to test it

Nope its written in DBpro

Quote: "are you using moveable windows or just a menubar?
"

um I dont know what you mean by this but I will try to answer this to the best that I can ok
1. Use the mouse to change from raising + to Hill - and you can set the Mouse 1 button and Mouse 2 button to perform these actions like
Mouse 1 raises by vertex Mouse 2 Makes Hill - (for cayons etc)
2. It is not full screen 640 x 480
3. It has no limitation to size just use what ever u can handle
I use 4 1000x1000 (50fps) but 4 10000x10000 works fine (35fps)
4.Currently still working on the seamless matrix building (just a few kinks iam fixing today)
5.I will be adding so you can just edit one matrix at a time
6.Currently cannot save
7.Easy to use system so far
8.Working on making it so that it saves each matrix in its own file or can decide to make it so that it saves all 4 matrix to one file
advantage to saving each single matrix to one file is so that you can make and edit 4 matrixes at a time for example Ive finished map 1
43
12 I save all matrixes then I load 4 to edit a map northwest
43
12(4 < matrix we loaded) then repeat or load 4 and 3 to edit north
4 3
1(4)2(3)
9.Currently can find what matrix the cursor(object) is own (and I works to
)
and thats all for now so expect a first test maybe today or tommorow

o yeah and if anyone needs a hud builder just tell me I can give you a source AND ITS ALL MADE BY ME NOTHING FROM CB yet...I think the only thing I will borrow from the cb is matrix smoothing

o yeah I dont know how the loading into a game is gonna work like I dunno if iam gonna make it a .x file or make it so that all the matrix data is premade and you just use the command to make it but the only thing is your gonna have to position it yourself if you use it for a game...I dunno yet I might make another program that does that....Just put any suggestions you have here cuz I need ideas on how a person would load it...

The reason your getting no feedback is cos matrices are slow compared to models, not as versatile as models and people can make their own editor or use ones that already exist.
Not trying to be nasty but if you don't get much feed back thats why.

I got a pretty neat mog idea (that isn't heroquest), but im not gonna announce it anywhere till i do some models and concept art. but seemless matrices would help me a lot. downloading the test.

nope , or atleast I dont think so.

it has this great feature where you can write your own modules to make your own features in it dude that is awesome!

not that you need to write anything, maybe it would be object support, because it does it all!

I am going to buy it I think, if it gets finished

its me n0id!

I was also thinking about adding in a "Add in Effect" thing....but the question is how would I make it so that while the program is already runing I can load a effect (Like a new command) without recompiling the program? kinda like Adobe Photoshop.....
