Win98 Direct X8.1 AMD1800XP 16mb shared onboard Gfx.

onboard stuff in my opinion sux but hey do with what u got.

this may not be a true 3d card and may not be support by DB.

got another more powerfull video card to test it?

Dark Basic programs did not run properly, they would crash with error code 56.............not 100% sure. anyway i tried windows XP and it hangs every 10 minutes. the reason i went back from WinXP to Win98 was because a lot of the software i used on WinXP seemed to have bugs in them,(including Dark Basic) which were not there in Win98

I could actually run DB in a intel pentium 2 - 400 mhz with a 4 mega video card onboard . It was ok . But now I have winXP on it and the XP drives for old computers suck and I did not botter much finding the drivers for that computer He's my server now

Well, Actually, Im just trying my hand at an RPG at the moment and I cant get DB to work, Ive written 16 Dark Basic Projects and never had this trouble before, in fact, I think Dark Basic v1.13 has been "Crippled" to limit its functionality to encourage purchase of DB Plo

this is a diagnostic script i wrote for Db1.

It will show all the variables of the system that DB can access.

It may help, it may not.





I have one for DBP also that has tonnes more options and features if u step up to DBP.
