I got this from Ladislav Kroupa:

" Dear Ermes Bertone

We assume you are owner of the copyrights of software product SUNDAY DRIVERS.

Let us please introduce our country and apprise you of our plan.

Czech Republic is a comparatively small country with a population of 10 mil. people. The 40 years of Soviet communism left this country a little bit technically undeveloped. This situation is getting better in main parts of the Republic, however in small villages close to border, internet connection is not a common standard.

Our company would like to enable kids to try and play new freeware and shareware games that are offered by everyday internet surfing.

Therefore we would like to ask you for permission to publish and distribute SUNDAY DRIVERS on a CD package in the Czech Republic. The package will contain around 24 other freeware games.
We hope that you will support this idea with your permission

With best regards on behalf of company Rexon group ltd.
Yours faithfully

Ladislav Kroupa
owner of the company"

so, if someone would like to offer some good games, contact

Ladislav Kroupa at rexongroup@atlas.cz

it would be an intresting thing.

Bah. The Czech scam* again. At least he's asking for your permission this time, lol.

If there's any financial commitment - avoid like the plague.

freeware..yes...but is HE charging for the CD`s?, theres some tricky people out there, are they supplied free of charge?, or will there be some "nominal charge" thats gonna make him a nice profit?, if you must send him freeware then make sure you have the standard freeware declaration inside the archive and apraise him of it`s prescence, at least that way if he has any sense he won`t risk distributing your program for profit if he thinks your comeing after him (although he may well claim he charged for other software but not your`s...see where I am coming from??) dodgy/risky, you could end up with no rights to your own software.

Anything like this that get's your game out there is a good idea - you really have nothing to loose. If you consider that a lot of people will be able to play your game who would'nt normally be able to, and that's all that really matters with freeware.

I second Van B

But I want to suggest you to ask for a copy of the CD ... So you can be proud and show the first CD with one of your games on it.
If I did a game that comes on CD, I would like to have all CDs.

We at banshee have a very different view, Our games are and hopefully always will be free. We have even threatend court action over our material being on a spanish CD, which the guy claimed to be only charging a "norminal fee" (which I would have been happy to live on the proceeds for what he was charging). The cd was later withdrawn from sale.
We apprieciate that not everyone has access to the internet,However we believe that if our game are freeware then no money must change hands for them, no matter how small the amount. Someone somewhere will make money from it.However should we be asked to have our game on a charity games disk then, depending on the cause, we would probably oblige.
however congatulations on having a game published, albeit on a freeware CD.

If they are asking to put your game on a CD, just make a splash screen in the beginning that has all of your info on it, it'd be near impossible to get rid of that.

Come to #coding. We promise we wont kick you!

thanks Nick.

My games have always a splash screen with my info and THE GAME CREATORS http, and the splash screen can't be removed, because is all encrypted in a single file.

however, Ladislav will send me two copy of the project at the start of October. (as he said)

one for me and one for my mama!
