ok. this is what i put. and the midis are in the same file...
and it says...

cannot load music.

ehh, on my old computer, it couldn't play ANY sound through dark basic.

it loaded, i sent the play command, and it didn't play. also, sound/midi playing()=0. weird. eh.

well onto the stuff checklist:

1. is ur computer slow? (BAD)

2. is your midi file even THERE?

3. is your midi file valid?

4. update to latest version of DirectX & your sound card drivers.

Yes, when it it says "cannot load music" it means there is something wrong with your direct-x music installation. Try running "dxdiag" from the start>run line and testing the section in the screen pages that appear. If the direst music section operates, the best suggestion is to try re-installing DB again.

Any truly great code should be indisguishable from magic.
