hehehe. to me, it seems peter_x posts more about how his project is doomed, than actually working on it.

UPDATE!!!

It's a pretty big update. I can't remember what the last version was like but I think these are the improvements-

- New Level (Arctic Research Centre)
- 3 shots per go
- Powerups!!!

The powerups are as follows-

Invincibility - Gives you 45 seconds invincibility
Infinite Missiles - Take as many shots as you want that go
Infinite Time - Breaks the clock and gives you infinite time
Health - Gives you +1 health
Guided Missile - All missiles that go will be guided with the mouse
Teleport - NOT IMPLEMENTED YET

Pick up the crates to get a powerup. They don't activate as soon as you get them.

Controls

Mouse Up/Down - Aim Turret / Steer Guided Missile
Mouse Left/Right - Turn
Left Mouse Button - Shoot
Right Mouse Button - Move
Space - Activate Powerup
P - Show Crate Position
C + R + K - CHEAT - Make crate appear above you
Tab - Skip Go

Press 1 or 2 on the menu to change the level
1 - Alpine Meadow
2 - Arctic Research Centre

There's nothing to show you that you've changed level.

wow! the latest version is really great! very smooth, wonderful graphical style.

I really think you've made an impressive, stylish game.

Thanks very much.

Most DB games you see don't really have all the touches that make it look professional, but with this I really tried to cut no corners. Practically everything fades in and out. I really hope I get near full marks on Presentation.

The next level is called "Stormy Seas". It's phat.

Can anyone think of any more powerups?

I've finished teleport and there's going to be one where you can control the wind (I've added wind).

Hello again.

I've been distracted lately with making a FPS. So not much progress. I decided I didn't have time to do the tournament mode - and there's only three levels so it would have been crap.

I changed the menu round a bit, added a help & options screen. Can some of you try running it in 32bit colour and let me know if it runs OK? It's way too slow on my computer.

Now I've just got to record my taunts (I've already coded them) and I might make a new level, not too sure.

You can also change the level from the battle menu now.

I also need some ideas to make the pink tank look better:

Enjoy:

Done.

I also added snow to the white one and put icicles on the turret.

Looking Really Good Chris! Plays very nicely too...

3 more ideas for powerups...
2x Damage (does twice the damage as usual if a missle hits)
Huge Shot (all missles fired that round have twice the area of effect)
Shuffle (randomly switches player's positions)

The graphics and soundFX vastly outdo my game... Good Luck

The computer isn't an addiction, its more of a mental and social dependancy.

Here's the new designs:

I think I'll go for the double damage but the other two would require too much of an overhaul of the code and too much teleport crap to make it look it good.
