Well, I was looking for a linux distro to download and was thinking on what you thought about PHLAK. I mean, is it any good? I really want a free one. Also, is Damn Small Linux good? I really want a good one and I need a paint program, music player (anything that plays my cd's}, and anything windows usally includes.

well first of all. all of the linux distros are free and plack works well, but koppix is better much bigger download tho, even tho i would rather have koppix because for phlack you need to have the accual browser, paint, and music player on your hard drive to acctually use them, but with koppix they are all included, then when you are done downloading whatever one you want you need to download (unless you already have it) the trial version of nero burning rom 6 and use it to burn the iso image to the cd then boot it up from it.

Personally I'm a Fedora Core/RedHat devotee. Fedora Core is free to download and is usually easier for a Windows user to use than say Slackware. Plus Fedore has good compatability for hardware and software.

yes koppix is free to every one of them is, some collage guy made linux as a fun project
