well ime making a game and i want to give it to my freind and i need to know if i need an install file to install it on his pc or if i can just give him an exe on a disk

yeah just give him a cd unless it writes to the regestry or something, or else it should work with a cd, because thats what I do with my friends

it WILL work.

All DarkBasic Classic requires to run is Windows (if you're feeling adventurous, maybe WINE) and DirectX (throws WINE out the window).

For DB v1.13 stuff, DirectX 8.1 (I think) is needed.

Older stuff like DB v1.08 - Direct X 7.
