I've searched the forum, but there's not enough information about them.

basically, what do instances share and no share ?

let's say you have 100 bullets, each has different texture, but the same model.

instance object will probably be faster then clone object, but does it allow for independed texture for each object ?
if not, is there some faster way then clone object ? (like building for a mesh ?)

too bad you can't choose what to share and not to share.

My understanding is that instances share the original object's textures. I don't think you can give an instance a texture that the original object does not have.
