Hi. I don't have found the answer in other topics.

I made an object with milk.3d and exported with direct x 8 export tool.

The object is loaded perfectly in DBPro. But the color is black and i can't texture it or color it.

Why ?

Probably best asked in the 3D chat board. Most likely you're missing a few settings in the export window, you have not included UV coordinates, or you are referencing a texture that is not in the same directory as the model.

If you don't mind, zip up the milkshape file, any textures it uses, and the .X file and I'll do what I can to fix it. My e-mail address should be in the info bar.

I found the real problem, it is not related to milkshape, but to all imported .x object created by any 3d software.

Found that increasing the ambient light to 100 i see completely the texture of my object. The problem is that all other objects of dbpro created with "make object ..." are completely white.
How can avoid the problem ?

you can do that with the command set object.

SET OBJECT Object Number, Wire, Transparent, Cull, Filter, Light, Fog, Ambient

Make ambient 100 ... thats it

Do you need a complete FPS,3rdPS engine ?? Or a collision command libary?? well here it is:

well, but i don't understand why 100, while on the help on line the ambient variable is a flag(0 or 1).

Thanks anyway, i sorted out.

There's an ambient and an ambience function. It's easy to get those two mixed up. I usually go with setting the lights on and setting normalization on. High ambient light tends to mess up models that only use diffuse coloring and no textures.
