Newcomers DBPro Corner / Need a Snow Fall

Anyone know of a tutorial that could help me set up a rnd snowfall on a 3d winter scene. I have the snow, sound effects and all going on perefectly but just cant seem to find a way to get a snow fall. doesnt need to fall and stay, just fall and fade.

If you're using DBPro try MAKE SNOW PARTICLES.

Get 15 new commands, all the date / time commands left out of DBPro for free!
DOWNLOAD PLUGINS HERE: http://www.davidtattersall.me.uk/ and select "DarkBasic"

You know, I've read all the DBP tutorials on this site and the book from premiere press and never knew about make snow particles.. thank you very much David.

And here it is thanks to Dave the Mod Extroirdinaire and n0id the ever so helpfull.



Yes the flakes have a box around them. that's your bitmap. I'm trying to find a way around that.

If you want to play with the full particle set here are all the commands in 1 program. Play with the settings and watch what you get. Was a very interesting learning curve.



Going to write a quick tut on particles now for those that get stuck on this as I did and to give something back to the forum for giving to me.

Ok,got my snow fall happening in game. very slick but too much of a 2d effect (using a .bmp and all) any suggestions on a more 3d looking snow flake guys.
