If you had a choice between Paint Shop Pro(or Photoshop) CS, Truespace 6.6 money saving offer thingy, or NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT, which would you prefer?

Change the NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT to a x800 pro and thats got my vote.

DOWN WITH nVidia.

AMD 64bit 3200+, Gigabyte GA-K8NS Pro motherboard, 512meg HYPER RAM, ATI Radeon 9600XT 128mb, 120GB Maxtor 7200RPM, nFinity Version 2

Truespace 6.6. I just got my copy 3 days ago and am loving it.

That being said you missed your best chance. I got mine for $169 plus two video courses. Although like you said, there's a chance to get 6.6 now for $299 with the animation bundle. Also, if you plan on getting Truespace, wait until their thanksgiving or Christmas offers, for that's when the prices really shoot down.

Some people don't get graphics cards or software for christmas. possibly due to their lack of religiousness

lol, no, we get presents and stuff, we just don't get graphics cards and stuff. We're not exactly rich or anything (I live in WA, the state is 90% desert, ho rich could we be?). I meant that I don't get really good things because i'm not religious enough, with a little emotie, as a joke towards people that believe that the gift giving has something to do with religion.

I do hope the people realise that jesus was extremely left wing, and by modern standards would be called a communist

Photoshop CS is pretty nice, I'm not as familiar with it as I am with PSP, but I'd probably go for that.

It's always dodgy getting PC hardware for christmas, you'll end up getting rid of it and upgrading at some point, and you have to basically give it away to someone or just bin it - which never pleases the folk who bought it for you .

My parents won't leg me get a UZI, and if they did, what would I do with it?

I wouldn't get a DS because it's worse than a PSX(in my opinion), which I don't need. Hardware is unstable and will get old fast. So I will either buy Photoshop or Truespace. Since I already have Texture Maker and GIMP/Dogwaffle, I can already make textures. However, I only have 3D Canvas for 3D models, and 3DC has some problems, so I'll get Truespace.

It's an uzi man! You don't even have to shoot it. You just own it. You stroke it sometimes, and sleep with it next to you in bed. Clean it, polish it, talk to it when it looks lonely. Every one needs a gun!

I'd go with the card out of the three.

As far as the Nintendo DS, I think PSP seems to be the superior one. I don't plan on getting either, but if I was getting one I'd go for the PSP.

I think it was made a long time(not necessary long) before the X-box and Gamecube.

Christmas is a pagan festival...... They celebrated the Winter Solstice. they brought in evergreens and decorated them. So even if you are not religious...... like my self....... there is no fear in celebrating christmas.

I might get a nice new video card if it's the only thing on my wish list ... then again, probably not. I'll just ask for books-- books are nice, books are good .

I just haven't seen any games taking real advantage of the two screens and touch pad. Having a map for Mario Kart or shooting with a stylus in Metroid didn't sound all that innovative or enticing. If some interesting games come out then maybe I'd change my mind.

Also, the PS2 is still winning the console war this generation. Xbox has made significant progress (unlike the gamecube), but it is still a close second in my book.

However, that is just in terms of the 'legal' xbox. A modded xbox > PS2 (even a modded PS2).

Gamecube sold over 4,000 units in one week in Japan. Xbox sold just under 200.

penny arcade got their hand son it at a demonstration nintendo held at an e3 style place, they had a big range of nintendo stuff but also showed the ds, with metroid game setc and the networking, PA playe da game with some other news guys there, and apparently shooting with the stylus is awesome. I really like the ideas in teh ds but im a nintendo fan thru and thru.

I don't think you get this. They can't have reviewed it. It's not out. The best they could have done is played it for a few mins at e3, and even then they're changed the design since then.

Because betas are usually software.

Plus - they won't have sent anybody a version because

a) It's not finished
b) There are still rumours on the net about how things will be done - these would have otherwise been answered.

Your mag may have previewed it - but nobody has reviewed it.
